Outflows of $5.66 million from Solana-focused ETFs on Wednesday underscore subdued near-term institutional demand for altcoins. Following withdrawals of over $19 million and $8 million earlier this week, total outflows have reached $33.04 million. Should the week end with net withdrawals, it would be the fourth consecutive week of outflows, indicating substantial selling pressure from institutional investors.

For XRP and HYPE, institutional activity remains muted: neither recorded any inflows on Wednesday. Their respective weekly outflows stand at $3.61 million and $4.30 million.

At $1.2924 at the time of writing on Thursday, Ripple retains a bearish short-term outlook. The 50-day and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), at $1.3574 and $1.3891 respectively, remain well above XRP's price.
A retreat below the descending trendline resistance at $1.3216 also points to the failure of recent efforts to regain that barrier.
On the daily chart, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is close to 40, indicating weak momentum rather than exhausted selling. Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains flat below zero, suggesting that a recovery could face limitations.
Should a break beneath $1.2588, the low of 21 August, be confirmed, losses could deepen towards the 2 August high of around $1.0933.
Any advance would first encounter resistance around $1.3216, where the price broke below the trendline. Beyond that lie the 50-day EMA at $1.3574 and a stronger structural barrier at the 200-day EMA of $1.3891.
Trading near $100 on Thursday, Solana continues to show a bearish short-term bias. SOL is holding above its longer-term 200-day EMA at $98.36, but remains beneath the 50-day EMA at $105.
With the RSI near 35, just above oversold territory, and the MACD still below zero, the indicators suggest that bearish momentum is easing but remains dominant.
Another test of the ascending support trendline near $87.26 could follow if closing prices remain below the 200-day EMA at $98.36.

The 50-day EMA near $105.44 presents the first resistance, limiting recovery attempts. A move back above it would be needed to establish a more constructive bullish phase.
Holding above $86.00 on Thursday, Hyperliquid retains a bullish short-term outlook. Despite recent volatility, the broader uptrend remains intact, with HYPE comfortably above both the 50-day EMA at $81.82 and the 200-day EMA at $67.77.
An RSI reading near 59, alongside a positive MACD, points to favourable momentum conditions and suggests that buyers retain control.
For HYPE, the first resistance sits around $88.14 at the 3 September high. Clearing this level could pave the way towards the 23 September high near $98.30 and the psychological $100 mark.
The first downside support lies near $81.82 at the 50-day EMA. Further below, the ascending trendline around $76.07 and the 200-day EMA at $67.77 underpin the longer-term bullish structure. Deeper declines are expected to draw buying interest on dips.
