Wednesday’s launch of Dogecoin (DOGE) Labs, in partnership with the Dogecoin Foundation, brought several product teams and technologies together. The initiative seeks to broaden the memecoin’s (DOGE) use in payments, decentralised finance (DeFi) and consumer applications.

Through the launch, MyDoge, DogeOS and Such App will be brought into a single business headed by Jordan Jefferson, the founder of MyDoge and DogeOS. Connecting Dogecoin’s community to a wider range of applications, services and commercial opportunities is the initiative’s objective.
To build an economy around DOGE, Dogecoin Labs said it would bring together consumer distribution, application infrastructure and development expertise. Intellectual property and development teams will be transferred to the organisation from the Dogecoin Foundation and House of Doge.
Jefferson said: “No other digital asset has Dogecoin's combination of liquidity, community and cultural reach, and its potential has barely been tapped,”
Bringing Dogecoin’s developers together is another objective, he added, with the organisation seeking to help them reach users via applications built with DogeOS and distributed through MyDoge.
The products Dogecoin Labs plans to develop span wallets, payments, commerce, trading, DeFi, gaming, artificial intelligence, social applications and developer infrastructure. Bringing those products to market will be the company’s focus; the Dogecoin Foundation will continue to support open-source development, advocacy and community stewardship.
More than 500,000 users have joined MyDoge without paid acquisition, according to the announcement. The self-custodial Dogecoin wallet’s recently released V3 version links its consumer platform to applications under development on DogeOS.
With the launch of its public testnet on 30 September, DogeOS gave developers an EVM-compatible environment in which to build and test applications for Dogecoin users. Payments, trading, DeFi, gaming and digital assets are among the areas of development supported by the testnet.
Commercial payments capabilities come to the new organisation through Such App. Businesses using its beta can accept DOGE for goods and services via invoicing and in-person QR-code payments.
A fourth successive green candle on the daily chart extended DOGE’s positive run. However, the 20-day, 50-day and 100-day exponential moving averages (EMAs), clustered just above the price, present resistance.
Further constraints on the dog-themed memecoin come from a descending trendline drawn from 22 September and resistance at $0.088. A break above that resistance will bring the $0.091 hurdle into view for DOGE.
Should DOGE fall, the horizontal levels at $0.080 and $0.077 could provide support.
Bearish dominance appears to be weakening, with the 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 44 and the Stochastic Oscillator (Stoch) at 50.
