3.4% third-quarter growth: United States economy exceeds 3.2% forecast
US Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanded at an annual rate of 3.4% in the third quarter. The first estimate released on Thursday by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) showed growth in the United States exceeded the market forecast of 3.2%, following a 2.2% expansion in the second quarter.
