Why Did UBS Lift Coca-Cola’s Price Target to $106 After Solid Results?

Coca-Cola’s quarterly performance prompted UBS to lift its share price target from $104 to $106 while retaining its Buy rating. At 7%, organic sales growth exceeded market expectations by 259 basis points, and improved margins helped earnings per share surpass forecasts. Alongside an increase in adjusted earnings-per-share guidance, Coca-Cola lifted its fiscal 2026 organic sales growth forecast above the earlier range.

Tougher comparisons for unit case volumes, currency and structural headwinds, and rising inflationary pressures could make 2027 more difficult, UBS acknowledged. Even so, the bank believes Coca-Cola can deliver net income growth, a capability many sector peers lack. While the shares appear expensive, strong visibility on Coca-Cola’s revenue and earnings supports a valuation premium over historical levels. Market confidence in the sustainability of its long-term organic sales growth model provides further justification.

With adjusted earnings per share of $0.91 and revenue of $13.4 billion, Coca-Cola surpassed Wall Street expectations in the third quarter of 2026. The results also showed 7% organic revenue growth and a 5% rise in unit case volume, alongside improvements in both gross and operating margins.

The results drew favourable responses from several financial institutions. Citing robust pricing power and continued organic sales growth, Morgan Stanley lifted its price target to $103. A solid third quarter, which included 11% growth in comparable earnings per share, led TD Cowen to raise its target to $104. Wells Fargo increased its target to $100 as well, pointing to strong performance across several measures throughout the year, including unit case volume growth of approximately 4.5%.

Resilient demand across regions accompanied gains in global value share for 22 consecutive quarters, the company said. According to management, affordable offerings and premium products helped deliver balanced growth across volumes, pricing and product mix. Despite regional variations in consumer demand, these developments underline the wide-ranging strengths of Coca-Cola’s global system.
